Connie Veazey, Ph.D.Dr. Veazey began her academic training in Psychology at the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana at Lafayette) where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and Valedictorian of her class.  She then completed the requirements for a Master’s Degree and Doctorate Degree in Psychology from the University at Albany – State University of New York.  As part of that training, she completed a clinical internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.  Dr. Veazey has additional clinical experience through the following settings:  Houston Center for Quality Care and Utilization Studies, Harris County Psychiatric Center, Mental Sciences Institute, University Counseling Center and Psychological Services through the University at Albany, and the Albany Medical Center.  She has also taught, conducted research, and provided clinical supervision through her academic appointments through Northwestern State University and currently through the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she is a professor in the Department of Psychology.  Additionally, Dr. Veazey has authored and co-authored numerous publications through psychological and medical journals. 

Dr. Veazey specializes in working with adults and couples through her private practice.  She provides assessment and treatment for depression, anxiety, anger management difficulties, relationship issues, and challenges associated with life transitions.
