Lacie Chappuis, MS

Mrs. Chappuis is an Acadiana native from the rural area of Lake Fausse Pointe. She attended the University of the South, in Sewanee, TN, and later received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she served as vice president of the communicative disorders honor society. Mrs. Chappuis then earned a Master of Science degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Counselor Education, with a concentration in Community Counseling. While there, she was a student member of Chi Sigma Iota, the international honor society for professional counselors. As a student, Mrs. Chappuis spent time studying in Paris, France and Florence, Italy which strengthened her understanding and appreciation for cultural and socioeconomic differences existing within the human population.

Mrs. Chappuis has a variety of work experiences in the field of counseling. She was the Family Counselor for an inpatient addiction treatment center, where she worked with individuals with drug addiction or alcoholism and their families. Mrs. Chappuis worked for Tulane University as a Research Technician, conducting interviews and assessments with foster children and parents. She has also helped children diagnosed with Autism, using Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy. Mrs. Chappuis also enjoyed counseling high school and college students at the Episcopal School of Acadiana (ESA) and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Counseling and Testing Center.

Mrs. Chappuis currently specializes in working with adolescents and adults through individual, group, and family counseling sessions addressing a variety of concerns including substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and codependency issues.
