Mary Guilbeau Quoyeser, MA
School Psychologist
A native of Lafayette, Louisiana, Mary G. Quoyeser received a Bachelor’s degree in Interpersonal and Public Communication with a minor in Psychology from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (currently University of Louisiana at Lafayette) before pursuing a Master’s degree in School Psychology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Mrs. Quoyeser completed a one-year internship in the North Sacramento Public School System in Sacramento, California as part of her graduate requirements. She then practiced as a school psychologist in North Sacramento school district and more recently worked in the School-Based Therapy, Assessment and Referral Services (STARS) program in the Lafayette Parish School System.
Mrs. Quoyeser specializes in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with behavioral, emotional and/or academic concerns. She provides psychological evaluations to determine relevant diagnoses and assists in the development of treatment plans. She provides individual and family therapy concentrating on children with the following issues/diagnoses: Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, depression, learning difficulties, oppositional/defiant behavior, low self-esteem, Asperger’s, and Autism. She also enjoys consulting with teachers and other professionals regarding assessment results and treatment strategies.
