A native of Carencro, Louisiana, Elizabeth Lown, Ph.D. received a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a minor in biology, from Southeastern University in Hammond, Louisiana. After the completion of her Bachelor’s degree, Elizabeth worked primarily with children diagnosed with Autism and other developmental disorders using ABA therapy. She went on to earn a Master’s degree and a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. Elizabeth completed a one-year internship at the Orleans Parish School Board in New Orleans, Louisiana as part of her doctoral requirements.
Elizabeth has experience in the assessment and treatment of children with behavioral, and/or academic concerns. She provides a variety of psychological evaluations and school-based assessments. She typically works with families and their children who have one or more of the following diagnoses/concerns involving autism spectrum disorder, anxiety disorders, learning disabilities, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, intellectual disabilities, oppositional/defiant behavior, aggression, gifted, learning and academic problems. Elizabeth has provided professional development training and consultation to school faculty members and families.
