Karol Usey is a Louisiana native who graduated with her Bachelor of Art degree in Psychology from the University of Louisiana in Lafayette. After working at a behavioral health clinic for children with Autism, she gained passion in behavioral health, and helping people build the skills needed to live their best life. Karol graduated with a Master of Science in Psychology from Capella University, specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis. She currently works as a behavioral intern, obtaining supervision hours towards her BCBA certification, to become a Clinical Behavior Analyst.
Karol applies evidence-based approaches, such as Behavior Activation (BA) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to help adolescents and adults who struggle with, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, trauma, and grief. She is also organizing and facilitating the Social Skills Groups for teens and adults at Aucoin & Associates.
Outside of the office, Karol enjoys spending time with friends and family, eating at Kirin Sushi Steakhouse with her husband, or playing video games with her two cats, Piper and Freya. She looks forward to her work in the therapeutic environment, and helping the people of her community build the skills they need to enjoy life to the fullest! “
